Hobbies: How to Make Floral Arrangements

Our latest Wise Women class on how to make a floral arrangement was held at the Encinitas Community Center on May 18th. Approximately 20 people were in attendance. We’d like to thank Sharrie Woods and Kathleen Shawl Parkes of Parkes and Woods for teaching the class and Kelsea Kakadelas of Kravings for providing the delicious treats.

This class was a follow up to our most recent blog article on “Making Time for Hobbies”. Since studies show that engaging in new activities can help deter memory impairments later in life, we wanted to provide the opportunity to learn a new skill. And more importantly, everyone came home with a beautiful floral arrangement.
